AFW was initiated in order to promote fashion and to make of Algiers a capital of fashion worldly recognized. AFW is a group of fashion shows dedicated to the promotion of luxury ready-to-wear in
Algeria in particular and in the world in general.

Oriental designers are currently being very innovative. They are cosmopolite and always try to mix their different cultures and influences to create an original fashion, opened on both the Western and eastern worlds’ values.

Carefully selected designers from all around the world will introduce their latest collections.

AFW aims at revealing new talents who use this all new couture mingling Arab and Mediterranean cultures.

Behind the engagement of AFW, there is a strong will to contribute to the preservation of the clothing patrimony, the craftsmanship, and more generally the Métiers d’Arts, as some of them are progressively disappearing, but also to promote new and emerging fashion talents.

As a preservation duty, AFW puts its strength and its image to the service of a fashion opened to everyone. AFW will be a means to develop the clothing sector in Algeria and the Mediterranean sea, the Mediterranean and Arab technical and artistic creation, a tool to motivate and support designers, embroiderers and all fashion professions in Algeria, Arab and Mediterranean countries, to open and organize distribution networks in Algeria and outside, for Algerian, Arab and Mediterranean fashion companies.

This event will bring a certain image to a city where culture is moving, a capital just like others around the world. Our goals:
short-term, make of Algiers the capital of Algerian fashion,
mid-term, make of Algiers a capital of Maghreb fashion,

Long-term, make of Algiers the capital of Mediterranean fashion.

All fashion designers from Algeria, Arabia and Mediterranean see will showcase their latest collections before national and international medias.
